The heart of this formula is 20 % pure ascorbic acid — not a derivative — allowing for direct antioxidant activity, inhibition of free radicals, and optimal skin brightening performance.
This high concentration helps reduce the appearance of dark spots, post‑acne hyperpigmentation, and uneven tone over time.
It also stimulates collagen synthesis, improving firmness and elasticity.
Acts as a mild exfoliant: helps loosen and remove dead skin cells to refine texture and reduce clogged pores and blackheads.
Brightens dull or lackluster skin, restoring radiance and a more even, luminous complexion.
Targets signs of aging: smooths fine lines, improves skin resilience, and helps slow further oxidative damage.
To support and buffer the vitamin C, the formula includes:
Sodium Hyaluronate / Hyaluronic Acid: hydrating humectant that draws moisture into the skin and supports a smooth, plump look.
Niacinamide: helps regulate pigmentation, reduce discoloration, support barrier function, and soothe skin.
Panthenol (Pro‑Vitamin B5): calms irritation, supports barrier repair, and reduces redness or stinging.
Botanical extracts (e.g. safflower, green tea) and coenzyme Q10: contribute antioxidant support and help protect against environmental stressors.
Zinc PCA: aids in reducing inflammation and regulating excess oil in combination / oily skin types.
The serum is often marketed as appropriate for “all skin types,” though users with sensitive skin or newcomers to vitamin C should approach with care.
Because of the high potency, initial tingling or mild stinging may occur during the first few uses; this is common and often subsides as the skin acclimates.
It is advised not to combine with other strong actives like high‑level AHA, BHA, retinol, or other forms of vitamin C in the same regimen (or at least leave buffer times between them) to minimize irritation and preserve efficacy.
The texture is described as lightweight, somewhat water‑like or “condensed water” consistency, which absorbs relatively quickly without leaving a heavy or sticky residue
Because of its acidity and high potency, it is susceptible to oxidation. The product should be stored away from heat, light, and air to preserve stability (some sources recommend refrigeration or wrapping the bottle in foil).
Cleansing & Toner Layer
Begin your skincare routine with a gentle cleanser. Use a hydrating, pH‑balanced toner before applying this serum to help the skin surface condition and slightly adjust pH.
Apply the Serum
Dispense 2–3 drops (or a pea‑sized amount) onto the fingertips and gently pat onto the face (avoiding immediate eye area). Focus additional application on pigmented or textural concern zones.
Follow With Moisturizer & Sunscreen (Morning Use)
After allowing the serum to absorb (a minute or two), apply a gentle moisturizer and always follow with broad-spectrum sunscreen in daytime routines.
Introduce Gradually
For sensitive skin or first-time vitamin C users, begin with alternate day use or mix a drop into your moisturizer/toner initially until tolerance builds. aedemo+1
Avoid Combining With Conflicting Actives
Avoid simultaneous use with other strong actives (strong AHA, BHA, high retinoids, etc.). If combining, space them out (e.g. vitamin C in the morning, etc.).
Storage
Store in a cool, dark place. Minimize exposure to air, heat, or light to reduce oxidation of the vitamin C. An opaque or amber bottle also helps protect stability. Some users refrigerate the product for added longevity.
Initial Sensitivity: Slight tingling or warmth may occur on first use; if burning or persistent discomfort occurs, discontinue and patch test more gently.
Oxidation Risk: Over time, vitamin C can degrade, turning a brownish hue. If you notice a darkening color change or rancid smell, it may have oxidized and lost potency.
Not for Inflamed Skin: Avoid using on broken, severely inflamed, or sunburned skin.
Sun Protection Essential: Because vitamin C can make skin more photosensitive, applying sunscreen daily is critical.
pH & Layering: Because pure vitamin C is effective at low pH, layering over high pH products may reduce efficacy.
Not a Standalone Exfoliant: Though it has mild exfoliant support, it is not substitute for dedicated exfoliants if your skin needs deeper renewal.
